Overview of class:  In this Chemistry course we will be covering the basics of general chemistry that will provide applications to daily life.  We will be performing occasional labs during class time, some of which will be done by the students, while others will be merely demonstrations.  Students will be expected to complete assignments at home on a weekly basis.  Chapter Tests will be taken at home while exams will be given in class.  Every class will have a quiz that will take 5-10 minutes.  These quizzes are often more time consuming than other classes due to the more difficult level of the material.  We will have one MANDATORY  lab field trip in the spring – date to be announced at orientation.
