Overview of class: There will be a 10 problem quiz at the beginning of each class. Students will be instructed on the lessons BEFORE they are assigned and will have a chance to practice understanding. All investigations from the text will be done in class as well. If a student requires further explanation of a concept, it can be gained by using the D.I.V.E. CD at home or by contacting me. Tests will be done at home and turned in the following week to be graded.

Prerequisites for this class: completion Saxon 6/5 or equivalent with grade ‘C’ or better, (‘A’ or ‘B’ preferred), or must take pre-test.

Class is recommended for students: 7^th or 8^th grade

Estimated difficulty level of course for average student: Average

Average study time for this course will be approximately: 5 hours per week

Additional comments: This class will require a high level of commitment from the students as well as from the parents. This is a multi-faceted curriculum that works very well when all parts are implemented and they must be done on a daily basis.

*Parents will be required to oversee daily facts practice, daily lessons, and test taking. Parents are to grade each lesson on a daily basis. This is important because student needs immediate feedback.

*Tutor will grade all quizzes and tests.
