Overview of class:  My personal philosophy is to go beyond teaching children an appreciation and respect for music; to teach them to love music instead.  This then remains with them for their entire life.  My purpose is to introduce students to good choral literature; to provide an opportunity for students to express themselves through choral music; to teach and/or enhance music reading skills; to provide an opportunity for a public performance of choral music.

Prerequisites for this class:     Auditions will be required – not to determine eligibility but to determine voice part assignment.  Students will need to sing “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” with no accompaniment in a private audition.
