Personal Finance

Tutor – Eric Rutherford

Course Description

In the Gospels, Jesus talked about money more than any other topic. All through both the Old and New Testaments, our use of money provides a window into our faith and priorities. Money itself is neutral – neither good or bad, yet like water or other resources, it must be managed and channeled, otherwise it can cause problems.

We want your students to leave this class with the understanding of how to create a budget, pay bills, and manage their money. We will do this through an interactive curriculum which will let them simulate life between the ages of 22 and 42. They get to make decisions about their future jobs, income, school and life, all within the safety of simulation. They get to experience the challenges of managing finances before actually doing it in real life and hopefully saving themselves from future difficulties.
