Disciplinary Action, Probation and Dismissal

Our students are typically respectful and considerate of those around them, however situations can occasionally escalate to a point where class is disrupted, schoolwork is no longer being made a priority or there is a question of honesty and integrity. Discipline in this environment is always considered and prayed over with the student, tutor and student body in mind.

If a tutor or board member has brought inappropriate behavior to the attention of a student and the behavior continues, the student will be sent to the RTA office and/or the RTA Board will be notified. Parents may simply be notified and the student given an opportunity to correct course. If a more serious behavior is being addressed, probation or dismissal from a class or the entire tutorial may be considered by the RTA Board. All behaviors are monitored and consequences handed out are made at the discretion of the RTA Board after discussing with all parties involved. We will contact parents if academic or behavioral probation are warranted. In order for the student to continue to attend RTA, parents and student will need to come to the RTA Office to discuss any conditions and sign a Probation Agreement.

These situations rarely arise, but we will prayerfully and firmly address them when they do. We are committed to cultivating an environment that is conducive to academic, personal and spiritual growth for those willing to do the hard work!
