Spanish II

Course Description

Students will use a pre-existing understanding of basic Spanish vocabulary and concepts to dive into verb conjugation, verb tense and sentence structure. Some on-line videos will be assigned periodically for practice in listening. Speaking activities will be applied in class through games and group interaction.

Grades in this class will be determined primarily through completion and effort. Each individual will grasp a foreign language at different speeds. Completing the assignments will give the students the exposure and practice they need to work towards language acquisition.

Prerequisites / Grade Levels

Student should have completed Spanish I at RTA with a “B” or better. Students who cannot meet this requirement may take the class with a pre-test score of C or better.

Difficulty Level

The difficulty level of this class is “average”. Average study time for this class will be approximately 4-6 hours per week.

Additional Materials Needed for Class

Students will need blank flashcards and a 1 inch binder to hold
handouts, guided notes and tests.
