Dress Code

The RTA Tutors and Board do not want to be the fashion police. We are all guests of our host church. Our appearance and behavior should reflect our purpose in being here. If you have dress code questions or suggestions, please bring them to the RTA Board for discussion.

  • No “Shock Value” clothes or potentially offensive t-shirts.  
  • No tears or holes in jeans
  • Skirts and shorts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee
  • No leggings, jeggings, yoga pants, workout pants or tights are permitted unless they’re worn with tops that meet the skirt length requirement
  • No pants with waistlines below the hips that show underwear or that reveal midriff 
  • No tank tops, camisoles or spaghetti straps unless worn underneath a sleeved shirt
  • No sheer tops or shirts that reveal the mid-section 
  • No tops that are tight or revealing
  • No wild haircuts or unnatural hair colors, visible tattoos or body piercings (other than ears for girls)
  • No hats or hoods should be worn in the building during school

Students who arrive at RTA dressed inappropriately will be sent to the RTA Office, may be asked to wear cover-clothing,(at the discretion of any RTA tutor or Board member) and parents will be contacted
